If you were at the Sharp Park Golf Course on October 8th, no you were not at a movie set scene. The Pacifica Chamber of Commerce hosted their 2nd Annual Oktoberfest, that transformed the south end of the building into an Oktoberfest themed extravaganza with tents and all. Men adorned their German lederhosen and the women their German dirndls. Festivities included a costume contest, both for the ladies and gents, beer gardens, fun photo opportunities Oktoberfest style, wash shoe throwing, authentic German food prepared by Chef Kevin Ramsey of the Sharp Park Golf Course Restaurant, a beer stein holding contest, Polka music by DJ Bumper and, not only were big pretzels served but one could wear pretzel glasses.

The weather could not have been any better as everyone enjoyed a summer-like afternoon with beautiful views of the golf greens as they sipped their German beers and feasted on the food.

We’d like to thank all the attendees, sponsors, donors and volunteers who helped make this event a success. The event is anticipated to grow and plans are already underway for next year.
