On Thursday, February 28th, our Chamber members, their families & friends along with city & community leaders and the Chamber board of directors gathered to honor our 2018 chamber member honorees. It was a packed house as PCT 26 readied to record the event.

Smiles were had as the community gathered to greet and talk with each other like old friends. Some of the honoree highlights included Jean Headley, of Headley Office Services & winner of the Home Based Business/Lifetime Achievement award, making the crowd laugh with her stories; most heartfelt & emotional speech came from William Kibblewhite of Kibblewhite Precision Machining & winner of the Global Business award; most excited & thrilled speech came from May Szeto of Kenny's Cafe & winner of the Business Hall of Fame award and then there was Steve Wright of Granite Creditors Service & winner of the Business Treasure award for making the crowd laugh at his joke that went something like this, "I'm glad I won this treasure award before I became buried treasure," & then sweetly acknowledged his wife.

Mayor Sue Vaterlaus led the 2019 Chamber board of directors in their Oath of Office while outgoing president, Darlene Gonzalez gave her goodbye speech and new president Lisa Eccleston gave her vision & goals of the Chamber speech. Surprised acknowledgments were given to exiting president Darlene Gonzalez & outgoing staff member Carol Camacho for their dedication to the Chamber. Master of ceremonies for the evening was Victor Spano, past Chamber president & a 2019 board of director.

We'd like to thank all our honorees, guests, the city council members, chamber staff including Office Operations Manager Lynn Gallo for pulling all the details together for this special evening.

The evening and whole event would not be possible if it were not for our generous sponsors. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their support and dedication to the Chamber: Eccleston Inc., Grocery Outlet, Kenny's Cafe, Sue Vaterlaus of Re/max Star Properties, Seaview Tire & Brake, Supervisor Don Horsley, Darlene & Debra Gonzalez of Direct Funding, Pacifica Playschool, Nick's Restaurant & PCT 26.
